Cookie policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to the next or from one visit to the next. This page explains which cookies and other data manuelsuarez.es stores in your browser, who sets them, what they are for and how long they last, and how to change your choice. The controller is Manuel Suárez; his details are in the legal notice.
Cookies and data stored
| Cookie or data item | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Does it need your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| moove_gdpr_popup | manuelsuarez.es | Storing what you chose in the cookie banner | 1 year | No, it is necessary to remember your choice |
| _ga | manuelsuarez.es, by Google Analytics | Distinguishing visits from the same browser with a random identifier | 2 years | Yes. It is only set if you accept analytics |
| _ga_TBW08QGML1 | manuelsuarez.es, by Google Analytics | Maintaining the measurement session | 2 years | Yes. It is only set if you accept analytics |
| yt-icons-last-purged, yt-player-caption-persistence, ytidb::LAST_RESULT_ENTRY_KEY, and yt-player-bandwidth (local storage) | www.youtube-nocookie.com (Google) | Google does not publish it (Google privacy policy) | No automatic expiry of their own | Yes. They are only stored if you press play on a YouTube video |
| YtIdbMeta (IndexedDB database) | www.youtube-nocookie.com (Google) | Google does not publish it (Google privacy policy) | No automatic expiry of its own | Yes. It is only stored if you press play on a YouTube video |
Some browsers, such as Chrome, shorten the duration of any cookie to a maximum of 400 days.
Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept analytics in the banner. If you reject it, the website does not create them. What data they collect, how long it is kept, and whether it leaves the European Union is explained in the privacy policy.
YouTube videos
Until you press play on a YouTube video, the page does not connect to YouTube and YouTube stores nothing in your browser. Next to each video there is a notice explaining what happens when you press play, and pressing play means you accept it; the text of the notice is in the privacy policy. The videos hosted on the website itself do not use cookies.
When you press play, the player loads from www.youtube-nocookie.com, the domain of YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and stores data in your browser, within that domain. In the tests performed after the player changes on September 29, 2026, using Chrome 154 and a fresh context without existing cookies for each test, no cookies set by the YouTube player were observed. After 30 seconds of playback, local storage (localStorage) held the keys yt-icons-last-purged, yt-player-caption-persistence, and ytidb::LAST_RESULT_ENTRY_KEY; with longer playback or with several players, a fourth one appeared, yt-player-bandwidth. IndexedDB, another type of browser storage, held one database, YtIdbMeta. Google does not say what each item of that data is for or describe it on its cookies page, and it may change them; its privacy policy applies. Safari and Firefox have not been tested.
Local storage and IndexedDB databases have no automatic expiry of their own. You can delete them from your browser’s settings.
Other cookies and browser data
In the checks carried out on September 29, 2026, no cookies or local storage writes from Google Fonts or from the Google Tag Manager script were observed.
Anyone who logs in to the WordPress dashboard to edit the website also receives the WordPress session cookies (wordpress_logged_in, wordpress_test_cookie, wp-settings, and wp_lang). They are not set for visitors.
The website also stores in the browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) the result of a WordPress check on whether your browser displays emoji. It is not a cookie, it does not carry any identifier, and it is deleted when you close the tab.
How to change your choice
The first time you visit, the website asks whether you accept analytics. You can accept, reject, or choose in the settings. To change your mind later, click the cookie settings button that appears in a corner of the screen after you choose, or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page. If you withdraw your consent, the website stops measuring your visits. You can delete any Google Analytics cookies you already have from your browser.
The cookie settings on this website control Google Analytics. The YouTube player’s data is stored in YouTube’s domain when you press play on a video, and this website’s cookie banner cannot remove it. To stop using a YouTube player, close it with “Close video”: this removes it from the page and it stops communicating with YouTube. To keep it from loading again, do not activate it. Whatever YouTube has already stored can be deleted from your browser’s site data settings or with the tools Google explains in How Google uses cookies.
How to delete or block cookies in each browser:
If you delete the moove_gdpr_popup cookie, the website will ask you again on your next visit.
Changes
If the website starts using other cookies, this page will be updated first, and the website will ask for your consent again if needed.
